The show's theme is that the items stored in storage lockers where rent hasn't been paid in three months are offered for auction. Brandi and Jarrod who run the "Now and Then" thrift shop in Orange, California participated in the auction in hopes to buy some storage units for cheap prices. They didn't realize that this show was going to become reality-TV superstars! The show was a success since the couple, who were very tactful with their bids during the show, became stars. After appearing on the TV reality show, the couple was successful in increasing the size of their store. After their appearance on "Storage Wars," the spin-off show "Brandi and Jarrod: Married to the Job" was created just for them.
